Easter is a funny time of year for me, a time when I often feel nostalgic for life in the UK. In reality, it’s probably raining over there but I can’t help envisaging a sunny, crisp Spring morning, a country church service, branches of gnarled blossom trees heavy with petals (although we have these here in Sing too) and armfuls of beautifully fresh daffodils.

For those of you that read my last post on the phenomenon that is tabata, I tried it out yesterday and (just about) live to tell the tale.
A few pointers for anyone thinking of trying it:

Last night was a night of two very different events. It began with throwing on my red global babe jumpsuit and heading to Scotts Square for the launch of cool Brit girl Sophia Webster’s quirky collection for On Pedder, one of my favourite shoe shops.

I loved her caption handbags. “Money Talks” is certainly just right for the Singapore market although I preferred the marginally less conceited “High Flyer” mainly because of the butterflies, a theme running throughout the collection.

All the gear, no idea. If you read my last post, you will know that World of Sports have kindly kitted me out in all the right gear for getting fit. No longer wearing trainers from my school days, I feel suitably inspired to essentially eat less, move more.
I have chosen tomorrow, Thursday, as the day to start this all off (which means I only have to do it once or twice, then it’s the weekend).
Always keen on a shortcut, I have decided to throw myself in at the deep end with something called Tabata (pronounced ‘tabarta’). It’s a four minute workout that can burn MORE fat than one an hour long. My regular readers will probably already know, before I type another word, that I love the sound of this.

It may be because I am hopelessly unfit or another reason entirely, but World of Sports are very kindly sponsoring me to put one foot in front of the other and move, once appropriately clad.
It couldn’t have come at a better time as my running shoes (and running days) are eighteen years old. Yup, these beauties – above – hail from my school days.
