Pancake Day

By Friday, 20 February 2015 Brit Stuff, Festivals, Food & Drink

I was thrilled to have managed to organise a pancake party earlier this week. Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day, was just a few days ago and always creeps up on me, unannounced in my online calendar. Year upon year I always say how I wish I’d got my act together sooner and organised a dinner party featuring nothing else but the humble pancake.

Well, this year I managed it. We had two pancake stations at the end of the table; think Ritz Carlton buffet-style with *slightly* worse decor.

Far East Plaza…for sushi worth queuing for

Sun protection isn’t just suncream

I am very proud to be supporting my friend Fiona Argyle in her quest to save our skins. Her ‘strong hats’, as they are called, sold like hot cakes.

Saint Tropez market

Wide brimmed and floppily fantastic they not only embody Saint-Trop chic but they do a darn good job of protecting your face (and shoulders and décolleté) from the sun which, sadly and very scarily, suncream does not do alone.
