I well and truly missed the boat with the iPad 1 and 2 (I never had one as I always felt I really needed something I could properly type on – hence my trusty Macbook Air*) but am now secretly rather thrilled by my lack of gadgetry as it’s meant I’ve been able to buy an iPad mini without a flicker of guilt.
It’s lovely and light to carry about but what I’m most enamored with is this Logitech keyboard I found which coverts into a front cover when it’s not in use (it snaps on to the side rather cleverly).
Perfect for when you want to type something long or just type quickly…and great for long journeys too, when I always, always lug my laptop along in my hand luggage, but now needn’t bother.
I bought my Logitech cover from the Apple Store in New York but they are also sold here in Singapore at Epicentre.
*I am not sure how much I’d recommend the Macbook Air – to be fair, I have the earliest and cheapest model which has the most appalling lack of memory. For me, the biggest memory-clogger is the volume of photos I (and most people) have on iPhoto. I’ve had to delete a whole bunch and back things up on to an external hard drive and it’s been a pain.
