Like millions of other women around the world, I own several of Diane von Furstenberg’s eponymous wrap dresses (one of which I bought for a song in the Woodbury Commons outlet, just outside New York).

On reflection I think I probably love her more for her use of the retro prints that she sometimes makes them in than for the cut of the dresses themselves.

I think I am the only person I know who can’t pronounce the word Havaianas properly. I resolutely seem to refer to them as ‘Havanas’ which is not only a type of cigar but, more to the point, absolutely not what they are called.
