Exploring Singapore is great and when you strike gold with a deliciously random and unlikely find, it makes it all the more fun…$5 manicures at Far East Plaza are top of the list for being my latest stumbled-upon-addiction.
There are a few things in life I love, but could do without: weird-sounding but quite wonderful eyelash perms (wear mascara instead), highlighting my hair (just tie it back and somehow it doesn’t look too bad), even a pedicure (wear shoes) but ultra short manicured nails, slicked with ONE coat (one coat is key, not the usual two…two is too ‘done’ and too pink) of OPI’s ‘Passion’ are my new beauty passion.
Oh and did I mention…nails must be very, very short. And round (death to the squared-off chav look with too much white showing…uuurgh). I feel a smile every time I type: there is no annoying naily clatter on my keyboard; just short, neat nails that no one notices except me.
Beauty to breed efficiency. It should be mandatory in most offices. And at $5 a go, I suppose it could be.
need one of these upon arrival 🙂
