If you feel likewise, then you and I may, quite possibly, have visited the same place recently.
The chaps over at Chochosan in Far East Plaza do not muck around. If you have a knot or a slight pain they will find it, as if my magic. This doesn’t make for a particularly relaxing 40 or 60 minutes (choose the level of torture you think you can stand) but it does make you feel utterly fantastic afterwards. It could just be the sheer relief that the pain and pummeling has finally stopped, but either way you have a spring in your step and shoulders about 5 inches lower than they were when you came in.
Not for the faint-hearted and not for anyone too used to a high end spa experience; there are millions of places just like this one all over Singapore but there is something about this particular one that I like.
This is what the rooms look like…
Drum roll please:
Well, they are not really rooms, just three massage tables separated by a curtain…but as a body massage here is an over-the-clothes-affair it doesn’t really matter too much.
Easy to find in the maze that is Far East Plaza, take the escalator all the way to the top of the building (level 5) and they are straight in front of you.
Not the cheapest out there by a long shot, they are excellent and conveniently central. It’s a great place to visit before or after a long haul flight and I’ll be popping in this Wednesday before we head off the Europe if I have any spare time.
Oh, and as the name rather suggests, they also do reflexology – which is something else I find myself here for.
