As clever as I may feel to shop here – it makes Fairprice look like Waitrose – I do let myself down quite badly by not actually being able to pronounce its name properly. The best I can do is ‘Sheng Shong’ which seems to work and most people know what I’m talking about.
Anyway, almost angmoh free, it’s uber local and great value – even the wet market seems expensive by comparison. Switch your big, once-a-month-stock-up-shop from Cold Storage to Sheng Siong and I reckon you can save about $200.
Also a great place to buy very fresh fish (thank you BH for that tip).
