Everyday shoes that make you stand tall

By Changmoh • Saturday, 24 September 2016 • Fash, More Dash than Cash, My Edits

Flip flops make me feel lazy. I walk slowly when I wear them, I can’t help but make that awful slapping sound wherever I go and my final complaint is that they make me stand badly (I think I may do that all by myself but it’s lovely to have an excuse).

Our story begins now, when a  great friend was clearing out her shoe closet. We are an identical size and she has flawless taste. It was one of the better ways to spend a morning. These things that I have since become wedded to (pictured above) fell out of her cupboard and she confessed to only buying them in a blister emergency.

Armfuls of shoes later, I worked my way through them all and wore a pair a day for the next few weeks. The ones that stood out? The Jimmys? The Ferragamos? Whilst all beautiful…..nope. It was the “emergencies” that I had become wedded to mainly due to the fact that they really are insanely comfortable. I can’t stop wearing them.

KIYO wedges ARE insanely comfortable

They may not look like much, but I can honestly say that I don’t think I have *ever* had a shoe crush since living in the tropics….until now (my feet always feel hot and huge). They are tight enough to make you feel secure, high enough to make you stand taller and miles comfier than flip flops. I have never, ever heard of the company. After some light googling, it’s a homegrown brand found in most heartland hubs as well as JCube. KIYO. Say it with me. I have just given you your ticket to shoe heaven. Buy and pair and thank me later. I want one in every colour.

More info about Kiyo can be found here. As ever, all brands written about on changmoh are based on personal experience. This is NOT a sponsored post.

    The Chinese Angmoh
Why the strange name? Changmoh is an amalgamation of the words Chinese & 'Angmoh' (local speak for Caucasian should you be reading this in a country other than SG) // I'm an English girl living in Singapore and love the local way of life so much that I actually think I’m half Chinese. Maybe even three-quarters // Freelancer writer, author and editor ... you read it here first.
