The foie gras I ate in France is still churning in my tummy (now rather wobbily, after such an extended holiday)…I’ve had a few days here in Sing…and I’m off again. This time to the other side of the world and somewhere I have always wanted to visit. Tokyo.
The land of the wasabi flavoured Kit Kat (bugger the diet, definitely trying one), Hello Kitty and of course, nigiri sushi.
It’s a horribly last minute trip for various reasons and I am leaning heavily upon friends who are either from there, have been there or lived there. One of them, YY, is a fellow blogger (a friend first) over at the fabulously titled Musings of a Travelling Carebear. She has lashings of insider travel know-how and is a regular visitor to Japan as well as most other places you can think of, including France, the US and, rather more randomly, Africa.
I will report back shortly!
PS: Do you know Tokyo at all? Any and all suggestions most welcome. I fly tomorrow morning and am yet to book a hotel.
