The Mount Sinai Pudding Lady

By Changmoh • Wednesday, 30 April 2014 • Food & Drink, Shop Local

Angela is her name and puddings are her game (well, as well as property and a few other things). She’s a family friend and here she is at my house with a beautiful Tiramisu that she made me for a dinner party this Friday.

I sometimes let pudding slip through the net when I am planning a menu but…Angela to the rescue. She lives very close to me and kindly let me drop off a bowl with her – otherwise her creations come in tupperwear, but you can always decant. I hate buying something that’s come from a shop when I’m hosting, so this is an easy cheat as it’s all beautifully homemade. Just not in your home.

Layered deliciousness Tiramisu made to order Changmoh Singapore lifestyle blog

It earned ooh and aahh from all six guests, who I asked to rate it honestly. Admittedly no Italians present but still, I think it was a winner.

What I loved most about it was a tartness of the dusted cocoa with the creaminess of the pud. It also – crucially – wasn’t too sweet.

She also makes a mean lemon tart.

Prices start from $40.

    The Chinese Angmoh
Why the strange name? Changmoh is an amalgamation of the words Chinese & 'Angmoh' (local speak for Caucasian should you be reading this in a country other than SG) // I'm an English girl living in Singapore and love the local way of life so much that I actually think I’m half Chinese. Maybe even three-quarters // Freelancer writer, author and editor ... you read it here first.
