When Janet approached me with a view to running something on this site, I was sceptical. She makes great jade jewellery from her scrubbed kitchen table at her home up near Upper Bukit Timah; she sells it very reasonably too…but her website lets her down and doesn’t do her polished pieces much justice at all.
If you can’t see beyond this, let’s say goodbye now. If you can, and are intrigued, let me tell you a little bit more.
She mostly makes jewellery from jade. Here are my picks from her collection, all of which I have seen in the flesh.
These, below, are pure Shanghai Tangs and are one of my faves (called Ying Ying and priced at $185).
I am also quite taken by June ($159) with its jade donuts and sparkles. Trad but super wearable:
These puppies in black onyx, below, I actually own and consistently find myself wearing. They rock with an all-black outfit.
Lantern design, $140.
It’s not all earrings though. There are bracelets and necklaces too (although I think earring are probably her best category).
I bought a bracelet from her which I have had wound round my wrist since the day we met. It converts to a necklace and I love it for it’s dual personality (and yes, before you ask, I am a Gemini) although the length is a little off; it’s better as a bracelet and goes three times around your wrist.
Wrapture A is made from aquamarine and priced at $175.

**This is a sponsored post. Onyx ‘Lantern’ earrings were gifted but I paid for my ‘Wrapture A’ bracelet **
